The Houston Cougars packed as many bodies into TDECU Stadium for Thursday night's thrilling 36-10 upset victory over visiting Louisville, effectively ending their playoff hopes. In addition to the screaming fans, the Cougars also hosted some of the top talent from the area who got to see a star-studded show and a great performance by the Cougars on the field.
Some of the Cougars nearly full current recruiting class came out to support their future teammates. Offensive tackle commits Matthew Huhn and Dennis Bardwell both were on hand and snapped a couple photos on the sideline beforehand.
Close friend of Cougar standout senior quarterback Greg Ward Jr, 2017 John Tyler quarterback commit Bryson Smith was on hand to take in the scene and lend his support. He will look to continue following Ward's footsteps as he too goes from John Tyler to the Cougars.
In addition to many of their current commits, the Cougars also hosted some top targets from the area, including potentially their top remaining target in North Shore 2017 four-star defensive end K'Lavon Chaisson who shared his thoughts following the teams big upset.
Some of the top talent from the area in the 2018 class, many of them already holding offers from the Cougars as they already prepare to keep their H-Town Takeover alive for another recruiting cycle.
