Q. How is your back now and have you been given a doctors release yet?
BB. My back is doing well. It's been a while since I have felt this good. I haven't tested it 100% yet, but the pain is gone and I think I will be able to go full speed after my next meeting with my doctor.
Q. Would you give us you updated size and strength numbers?
BB. I am 6'3.5" 223 and I don't have any new strength numbers because all my workouts are high reps and low weight numbers.
Q. Could you give us your perspective on the coaching changes?
BB. The new coaches are enthusiastic. They work more closely with the players, which gives better interaction between us and the staff. They even work out beside us.
Q. There has been a lot of talk of a position change on our board concerning you. Is there any substance to this or is it just fan talk?
BB. It's fan talk, I guess. I came here to play QB and nothing has changed. My coaches haven't discussed a position change with me and I don't have any desire to play at another position.
Q. What is your biggest upcoming challenge for the 2003 season?
BB. My biggest challenge will be the competition with my teammates. We have five really good QB's and the competition for the starting position will really be tough. I am looking forward to that challenge.
Q. What makes you the most proud of UofH?
BB. Since I have been here we have had some really tough times and I think what makes me the most proud is that we have stuck together during those tough times even when it wasn't easy. We held together as a team, so I would say my teammates.
Q. You are an honor student, so tell us a little bit about your studies and career plans.
BB. I am in the Honors College, and I have been studying human situations, like Philosophy, Humanities, and Human Management. I plan on studying in Entrepreneur classes.
Q. What position on our 2003 team do you see as the strength positions?
BB. I would say our strengths going into the season will be our OL, WR, and our backfield.
Q. Does that mean QB and RB?
BB. Yes sir, our QB's will be a strength also.
Q. Do you think we can get to a bowl this coming season? If so, what bowl?
BB. The Liberty Bowl. Nothing less than a C-USA Championship.
Q. What would you like to tell CoogFans today?
BB. Keep believing in Cougar pride because we're coming back. Fill the stadium for us!
