Vandals beat San Jose State 26-23 in OT

DESPITE STRUGGLING OFFENSIVELY AGAINST A SPARTAN TEAM DESPERATE FOR A WIN SATURDAY, Idaho triumphed in the end. The Vandals rebounded from last week's frustrating last second loss at Fresno to register the dramatic OT win over SJSU. Idaho also won a Senior Day game for the first time since 2004, as seniors Nathan Enderle and Eric Greenwood connected to give Idaho the 26-23 overtime victory.

Idaho redshirt sophomore tailback Troy Vital had his biggest game as a Vandal ball carrier, rushing 17 times for 76 yards and a touchdown that cut San Jose's lead to 13-10 with 3:24 left in the third quarter. But this game was about the 2010 Vandal seniors, and they closed their careers in Moscow with a win on Senior Day for the first time in six years.
