Spring Game Post-Game: LB Tre'Shawn Robinson

HE'S THE FIELD GENERAL FOR THE VANDALS on defense, the anchor at middle linebacker of a defensive unit that returns experience and senior leadership across the board. Saturday following the Spring Game, TRE'SHAWN ROBINSON met with the media to discuss advances made by the defense this spring and how the unit will prepare for the 2011 season opener.

Generally regarded as one Idaho's biggest hitters, Tre'Shawn Robinson has been among Idaho's top middle linebackers since the day he stepped on the Moscow campus. As a true freshman in 2008 Tre'Shawn burst onto the scene by playing in five games and started one before being sidelined with a knee injury half-way through the season. The following year Tre came back to play a key role in the Vandal linebacking corps as a part-time starter and played in all 13 games, recording 49 total tackles and 6.5 tackles for loss.

Then last fall, despite losing his starting role early in the season, he ended up starting seven games and finished a remarkable No.2 on the team with 80 tackles (55 solo) and a stellar 10 tackles for loss. He added a 1.5 quarterback sacks and a forced fumble.

As a senior this fall Tre will be turned to as a leader on the Vandal defense. He met with the media following Saturday's spring game to discuss the defense evolving around him.
