Blackman No.1 QB; Idaho preseason honors

WITH THE 2012 SEASON AROUND THE CORNER AND MUCH OF THE DEPTH CHART GETTING SETTLED, the Vandals announced that junior quarterback DOMINIQUE BLACKMAN will be directing a completely rebuilt Vandal offense in the season opener against Eastern Washington in the Kibbie Dome (August 30th, 6:00PM PST kickoff). PAUL HORNUNG AWARD WATCH LIST: He's one of the fastest Vandals on the team, and one of Idaho's most explosive weapons on offense. Senior wide receiver Justin Veltung has averaged 9.3 yards per rush, 16.0 yards per reception, 16.8 yards per punt return, and 22.9 yards per kick return in his career. READ MORE, CLICK HERE

RAY GUY WATCH LIST: Senior punter Bobby Cowan has had a spectacular career at UI, including earning All-American honors by the Football Writers Association of America for his efforts in 2011 (finished second in the nation with 46.41 yards per punt).
