2014 Team Awards Announced

The Vandals announced their 2014 Team Awards as part of the 2015 Spring Game and 2014 Co-Captain TOM HENNSESSEY received the Mark Vaught Character Award, a new award created for the player who best exemplifies the qualities of the late Mark Vaught. Joshua McCain was named Team MVP, Quinton Bradley & Marc Millan co-Defensive MVPs, and Elijhaa Penny Offensive MVP. Read below for the complete list.

The Idaho coaching staff took the occasion of the 2015 Silver and Gold Spring Football Game to announce the players recognized for their exceptional performances during the 2014 season. To read the official press release on this story, CLICK HERE.

Of the 13 awards announced (14 total players), nine returning players who participated in spring drills the past month were among the honorees, which should bode well for the Vandals heading into the 2015 season.

Mike Marboe, Center - The Hec Edmundson Most Inspirational Player Award
Jesse Davis, Offensive Tackle - The Wayne Walker Ironman Award
Ryan Edwards, Defensive Tackle - The Vandal Pride Strength Award
Jacob Sannon, Wide Receiver - The Special Teams Ironman Award
Broc Westlake, Linebacker - The Kathy Clark Scholar-Athlete Award
Jake Luton, Quarterback - Offensive Scout Team Player of the Year
Edward Hall, Linebacker - Defensive Scout Team Player of the Year.
