Epps suspended indefinitely

SENIOR WIDE RECEIVER DEZMON EPPS has been suspended indefinitely by the University of Idaho football program. Epps is currently ranked No.14 in the nation with 757 receiving yards through the first seven games of the season, and had contributed the last couple weeks defensively as a corner and nickel back.

The following is an official press release issued by the University of Idaho Athletic Media Relations:

University of Idaho senior Dezmon Epps has been suspended immediately and indefinitely from the Vandal football team for allegedly slapping his girlfriend early Sunday morning.

“I have zero tolerance for any inappropriate behavior toward women,” coach Paul Petrino said. “This is a serious allegation and I take it as such. The penalties are immediate and substantive.”

There is an on-going investigation into the allegations. At the conclusion of the investigation, depending on the outcome, Epps’ status with the team may be reconsidered.
