Weight Room Nearing Completion

As construction of Idaho's new 7000 square foot weight room continues, we take a glance around the construction site to check on things. The structure is going to be as attractive as advertised, and will be a quantum leap in how our athletes prepare themselves for competition.

The 11 photographs taken below were taken at two different times in the last couple months. Tom McGann provided a series of photos taken in November, while Medic provided photos from today's News Conference announcing Rob Spear's permanent appointment to the office of Athletics Director.

Externally there isn't a tremendous amount of difference in the images between November and today. However, inside the structure a significant amount of finish work and interior preparation has been completed since the November shoot (i.e. lighting, plumbing, finish carpentry, a HUGE Idaho logo, etc.). Construction is well underway (and will hopefully be completed soon) to prepare this new weight room for its new equipment (its our understanding that the equipment has arrived, and is simply waiting for the structure to be complete).

The new weight room is such a significant improvement over the old weight room (between 2 and 3 times the size of the old weight room, state-of-the-art equipment, far more attractive, etc), that it is essentially impossible to capture in words.

Thank goodness for cameras, and for the contributions of Tom and Medic.

Enjoy!
