Coach Leonard Perry's system works, and the guys have bought into it. Easily the shortest team in the conference, Idaho (3-5, 6-11) outrebounded UC Riverside (3-4, 6-9) 31-27, and shot 58% from the free-throw line. Rodney Hilaire led all scorers and hit a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. An all around excellent effort by everyone on the team.
Coach Divilbiss and his short-handed women's team scored their first conference win of the season, thumping Cal State Fullerton 72-56. Keisha Moore led all scorers (23), followed closely by Meg LeBlanc (20) as the team improved to 1-6 in Big West play, and 7-11 on the season. This was a much deserved win, and hopefully a glimpse into the future for the women's program.
