"Go Vandals" Networks Announced

Tom Morris, the Voice of the Vandals and Director of Sales for the U of I Athletic Department, said this week that nine Pacific Northwest TV stations will form the "Go Vandals" TV network to broadcast select football games this fall. In addition, he named 11 area radio stations which will carry all 11 games under the Idaho Vandal Radio Network banner.

Preliminary plans call for the Go Vandals TV network to broadcast the September 10 game at UNLV, the September 24 home game against Hawaii (starting at 7 p.m.), and the October 29 game at New Mexico State.

The T.V. network will include:

KBCI-TV channel 2 in Boise
KIDK TV channel 3 in Idaho Falls/Pocatello
KMVT TV channel 11 in Twin Falls
KTWT TV channel 43 in Twin Falls
KEPR TV channel 19 in the Tri-Cities area
KLEW TV channel 3 in Lewiston
Comcast Cable channel 12 in Spokane and Coeur d'Alene
Cable channel 18 in Coeur d'Alene

Sandpoint-Wallace-Kellogg Cable will also carry the broadcasts; check local listings.


The Idaho Vandal Radio Network for 2005 will include:

KHTR 104.3 FM in Moscow-Pullman
KGEM 1140 AM in Boise-Nampa-Mountain Home
KBFI 1450 AM in Bonners Ferry KSPT 1400 AM in Sandpoint
KWAL 620 AM in Osburn-Kellogg-Wallace
KLER 1300 AM in Orofino
KVNI 1080 AM in Coeur d'Alene
KTRW 970 AM in Spokane
KORT 1230 AM in Grangeville
KOZE 950 AM in Lewiston-Clarkston
KUPI 980 AM in Idaho Falls

The radio network pre-game show will begin 1 hour before kickoff.

PRACTICE FIELD UPDATE

Below are some quick images of the new SprinTurf practice fields nearing completion, courtesy GAYLEN and MARY MARGARET WOOD. The bottom image is work being done to construct the entrance to the fields from the weightroom. This new entrance will include a double-gate at the top of the stairs.
