Vandal Men's Hoops Grows By 2

Late last week Idaho received Letters of Intent from 2 outstanding Guard prospects: Dwayne Williams of Kennedy King College in Chicago, and Ronnie Smith of South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas. These signings bring the list of players to who have joined Coach Perry's program up to 5 (last fall and this spring), and one more big man may be on the way.

Dwayne Williams, a quick shooting guard out of Chicago joins the Vandals, having completed a solid junior college career at Kennedy-King. Like power forward Jack May, who also signed with Idaho last week, we've been following Dwayne's signing for several weeks. He's going to be an outstanding addition to our backcourt for the next 2 seasons, and is a strong candidate to supply immediate help next season.

Highschooler Ronnie Smith comes to Idaho from South Oak Cliff High School, where he was a point guard who garnered a nomination as a McDonalds All-American for his solid style of play. Point guard is one of the most difficult, and critical, positions on the court, and having Ronnie in Moscow with plenty of time to learn the position will pay dividends in the future.

All of us at VandalVenue.com welcome both of these young athletes to the Vandal family.
