Vandals in the NFL
A couple of weeks ago we decided to develop a page specifically designed to honor, and keep tabs on, Idaho Vandals currently playing in the NFL. After a little research, we finally feel we have a good starting point with which to launch this link. The link is available in the left hand margin, at the bottom of the fooball section. For your convenience, a link is also provided below:
Vandals in the NFL/CFL.
As with most things on this site, we've put together a large-ish amount of info quickly, so please let us know if anyone was omitted, or if any information is incorrectly stated.
Later this summer we'll begin putting together a "Vandal Legends" web page to honor the Vandals who have had both outstanding careers at Idaho and success in the NFL ranks.
Its stated on the Vandals in the NFL/CFL web page, but we'll say it again here: We, as Idaho fans, have been fortunate over the years to have so many talented young athletes develop their skills on our Moscow campus. Its a testament to our program, and our University.
Men's Basketball Recruiting Database
Later this week we'll run a focus on 6-8 Power Forward recruit Jon Tinnon who joins the Idaho Men's Basketball program from Southeastern Community College in Iowa. Next week we should have enough information on Point Guard recruit Ronnie Smith to run a similar spotlight article. We're waiting on a couple photos of Ronnie to go along with his impressive stats from this, his senior season.
Editors Note: The database shows 6 recruits in this latest Men's Basketball recruiting class, when "technically" there are only 5 in this most recent class. Power Forward David Radlovic is really a part of Coach Perry's first recruiting class. However, since our database began with the announcement of Radlovic's signing at Idaho (last November), he's grouped with this most recent class. Later this summer, when we spotlight Coach Perry's first recruiting class, we'll reconfigure the database accurately.
Odds & Ends
Simon Stewart heaved the Hammer 203 feet, 4 inches at the McDonalds Outdoor on Saturday, a throw which cleared the NCAA provisional mark and moves him to the top of the Big West standings.......Joachim Olsen and Stewart finished 1st and 2nd at the McDonalds meet in the Shot Put; Joachim, who has already qualified for the NCAAs, beat his season best with a throw of 67-08........The Idaho Women's Golf Team had an outstanding season, but finished short of their expectations with a 15th place finish at the West Regionals last weekend in Palo Alto, CA. Expectations aside, this team is easily one of the best in U of I history, and we want to congratulate them on their unprecedented season. Congratulations to seniors Julie Wells (1st Team, All-Big West), Noelle Hamilton (2nd Team, All-Big West, Lindzee Frei (2nd Team, All-BWC) and Kahryn Campbell on their careers at Idaho, and best of luck next season to returning 1st Team All-Big West performers Nicole Keller (junior) and Lani Elston (freshman).
