Player Post-Game Comments: UI vs. OSU

#40 DAVID VOBORA, WILL
Led Idaho with 12 tackles, including 2 tackles for loss. Through the first five games Vobora has accumulated 52 tackles on the season.

About the game… "We knew they were a good team coming in. The way they played down in Boise wasn't the team that they are…they're a good football team. They're going to have a good season. Sometimes when stuff doesn't click, you let them put some points on the board early and it's hard to come back from something like that."

About the defensive effort today… "At times I think we played well. I think the effort was there. No matter what the scoreboard says, the effort was there, and that's what matters. When the effort's there then we can go to the drawing board and figure out what was right and what was wrong, and what we need to do to get better."

Was Dennis coming back a distraction… "No. It's a business trip, and we came here to play football. It's a business trip. You play football every Saturday, and you take it as a business trip every Saturday."

About the team after the last couple weeks… "I'll say we're more motivated. I think we're motivated. What we need to do is we need to come out and practice. We need to find out who's going to step into some key roles and be able to get it done so that we can play well next week at Utah State."

About putting the non-conference schedule… "We take every Saturday as ‘the' Saturday, you don't look forward and you don't look back. We played some good football teams this non-conference schedule, and its good to see where you're at and be able to play some of the best teams in the nation. I think we're definitely excited to get into conference and get into those big-time games."

#8 STEVE WICHMAN, QB
Completed 4 passes in 17 attempts for 40 yards with 3 interceptions through the first two and a half quarters of the game. Wichman was sacked 3 times in the game.

About the game… "[We] couldn't get anything going. I didn't play like I needed to play for our offense to be successful. I put a lot of the blame on myself after tonight."

Was OSU doing anything that UI wasn't prepared for… "[I] just missed a couple reads, missed on a couple throws that we needed. We felt like we needed a couple big plays to get our momentum in the right direction in that game, because our defense was flat-out playing well. Realistically, they gave us a chance the whole way throughout and we just couldn't get anything going. Missed a couple throws, and three-and-outs, and put our defense in bad situations."

About what happened in the third quarter… "[The big hit] took the air out of me a little bit, but that's not what took me out of the game. I got pulled because I wasn't playing well. And if I was the coach I would have done the same thing."

About his starting status for next week's game… "I don't know. I guess they'll go look at the film and see what's going on and make some decisions. I would do the same."
