Its hard to believe that the tallest player on last year's Idaho basketball team stood just 6-6. What a difference a year makes. Especially if that year includes a fantastic coaching hire. Second year Vandal coach Leonard Perry is not only breathing life back into a once proud hoops program, he's bringing excitement, energy, and a local flavor by recruiting some northwest talent.
To glimpse into the players that will be suiting up for Idaho this year, click on "Vandal Recruits" under the Men's Basketball section in the left hand margin (NOTE: Delvin Spruel, a 6-2 guard, left the team this summer to be with his ailing father in Louisiana). Coach Perry recruited three players that go 6-8 and will be playing this season, including freshman David Radlovic (listed under the 2001-2002 recruiting class). We're building this section of the site and hope to have it finished by the beginning of the season.
Below is a brief look at players "believed" to have verballed to the University of Idaho this fall, and HOPEFULLY they will join Zach Proett and Anton Lyons and the rest of the Idaho team next season.
Be forewarned, however, that this is NOT a final list. Things change pretty quickly with hoops recruiting, and nothing is final until the official site releases information on recruits. That being said, however, this is an impressive list of athletes:
Eugene Kotorbai, 6-5, Forward, Toronto, Canada
Tim Payne, 6-6, Forward, Baltimore, Maryland

Hank Rivers, 6-8, Forward, Nebraska
