Vandals Welcome 21 Athletes to Moscow

Today Robb Akey and his Vandal football program received 20 National Letters of Intent, including an 8:50am signature from future Vandal defensive end HANK BRYANT, the 6-4, 222-pound Evergreen Conference Player of the Year out of the state of Washington. Combined with the early signing of juco star defensive back Virdell Larkins (already on campus), a total of 21 players will join the program.

"Hank is excited to be part of the Vandal Nation and can only see good things to come," Hank Bryant's father, Michael Garcia, told earlier today. It was a common theme shared by 20 signees today, national Letter of Intent signing day. Along with early signee Virdell Larkins - a 3-star defensive back who was ranked the No. 18 high school cornerback by Scout in 2004 who is already on the Idaho campus and training for Spring Camp - this is a solid and well-rounded class.

Starting THIS FRIDAY we will begin a more in-depth analysis of the class, looking at the signees individually and collectively in the units they will be joining this year.
