Redshirt freshman defensive end ANDRE FERGUSON (6-2.5, 225) and the Vandal football team began Fall Camp with a spirited workout Tuesday afternoon on the SprinTurf practice fields situated in front of the Kibbie Dome. Defensive tackle Oga Faumui (6-1.5, 297) is anticipated to make immediate impact on Vandal defensive line.

True freshman tailback Troy Vital (6-0, 207) joins what looks to be a deep Vandal backfield.

Redshirt sophomore Aaron Lavarias (6-2.5, 264) is coming off a solid 2007 freshman season and is expected to be a major contributor on the Vandal D-line in '08.

True sophomore defensive lineman Fonomanu Sekona (6-1.5, 281) earned immediate playing time as a true freshman last fall on the Vandal line, and will be battling for a starting job this fall.

True sophomore cornerback Isaac Butts (6-0, 171) snuck in under the radar last fall and earned significant playing time as a true freshman. He had a solid Spring Camp working with the starting unit for much of it, and will be battling for a starting job in '08.

Senior tightend Jim Reuber (6-3, 248) is part of a deep tightend rotation for the Vandals and is coming off an outstanding spring camp.

Grayshirt freshman Kenneth Patten (5-9, 185) continues to impress the Idaho staff, seeing significant playing time throughout spring at both corner and safety. Expect Patten to see significant time on the field this fall.
