This victory over Washington State Wednesday night was a huge team effort, one that every team member and fan should look on with pride. Vandal forward Tyrone Hayes led Idaho this night, sinking 23 points (including a critical, game changing 3-pointer late in the second half), snagging 10 rebounds, and 4 assists. Sophomore Guard Tanoris Shepard had 8 points and 8 rebounds (all defensive rebounds), and junior Forward Rashaad Powell grabbed 9 rebounds (5 offensive, 4 defensive). This was a great game, and a good sign of what this team is capable of this season. They've improved to 4-1 on the season, one of the best starts Idaho has had in years.

Idaho heads to Cheney, Washington Saturday night to take on a very good Eastern Washington University team (4-2) of the Big Sky Conference. The Vandals then play another tough road game December 12th at Montana, then return to Moscow for a 3 game stretch at the Cowan Spectrum (Boise State 12/14, Montana State 12/21 and Sacramento State 12/27). Coach Leonard Perry is building an excellent foundation for the future, so get to Moscow and check this team out. They're off to a great start!
