Vandal Men's BB Game Vs. LCSC Moved

IDAHO MEN'S BASKETBALL GAME MOVED TO BOISE: The men's basketball game between Idaho and Lewis-Clark State College will move from Moscow down to Boise's Qwest Arena on December 29, at 7 p.m. (Mountain Time). Moving this game to Boise and playing it the day before the Humanitarian Bowl gives the university's large alumni base in the Boise area a chance to see the Vandal basketball team up close.

The following is an official press release from the University of Idaho was provided courtesy UI Athletics Media Relations.

MOSCOW, Idaho – The men's basketball game between Idaho and Lewis-Clark State College will move to Qwest Arena on December 29, at 7 p.m. (Mountain Time).

The game, which was previously scheduled as an exhibition contest on December 30 at Memorial Gym in Moscow, Idaho, will now be played at Qwest Arena in Boise, Idaho.

The move, Idaho Director of Athletics Rob Spear said, was to avoid the conflicting time of the football team playing in the Roady's Humanitarian Bowl, to accommodate the fans who will be in Boise for the football game, and to give the university's large alumni base in Boise a chance to see the Vandal basketball team up close.

The Vandal band and cheer squad will perform at the game and Idaho head coach Robb Akey and the Vandal football team will also make an appearance.

Tickets will be available through Qwest Arena by calling 208-331-TIXS(8497) or by visiting www.qwestarenaidaho.com. Idaho season ticket holders can use their original game tickets for admission to the game. A limited number of courtside seats will be available for $20, while lower bowl seats will be $15 and upper bowl seats will be $10. UI students may purchase tickets for $8.

Qwest Arena is located in downtown Boise and adjoins The Grove Hotel, Idaho's team hotel for the Humanitarian Bowl. Qwest Arena is also home to the Idaho Steelheads hockey team of the ECHL, the Boise Burn of arenafootball2 and the Idaho Stampede of the NBA Development League.

The Idaho Stampede, which provided the use of the floor for the game, will also offer Vandal fans discounted ticket prices for its game at Qwest Arena on Dec. 28.
