New face in the crowd

WORD ON THE STREET IS THAT THERE IS A NEW ADDITION to the Vandal wide receiving ranks. Late last week we began seeing a new athlete in the mix, and this weekend saw him getting more reps with the team. We've learned (unofficially) that he is JOHN ROBERSON (6-0, 185), a junior college transfer out of Pasadena College with 4.45 speed and remarkable receiving skills who may help Idaho in 2010.

We may be jumping the gun a bit (there has been no official news release from the University of Idaho), but we've heard from several of our sources this week that speedster John Roberson, an athlete originally out of Dorsey High is coming to Idaho as a junior out of Pasadena College in California to join the 2010 Vandal football team.

As we seek to get confirmation on his status, below is a quick summary of what Roberson brings to the team. So far he's been seen most with the wide receivers, showing explosion with his 4.45-40 speed, outstanding hands and excellent balance. He was listed as both a tailback and wide receiver with Pasadena (#2 rusher, #4 receiver), and caught a number of passes on flare routes out of the backfield.
