Patton Will Visit Champaign

Missouri's Chase Patton is one of the top gunslingers in the nation. Illinois coaches will get an up close and personal look at Patton next weekend.

"I still can't narrow anything down yet," said quarterback Chase Patton.

"UCLA, Oklahoma, Michigan, Nebraska, Kansas State, Missouri, Iowa, Stanford, Tennessee, Georgia, Arkansas and Kansas are the schools that called during May.

"UCLA, Stanford, Missouri, Iowa, Tennessee, Kansas, Kansas State and Georgia have offered me a scholarship.

"The schools that are at the top of my list right now are UCLA, Stanford, Tennessee, Iowa, Georgia, Missouri and Kansas State." Patton said.

Patton, a 6-foot-4, 210-pounder, from Columbia (Mo.) Rock Bridge passed for 2,670 yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior.

What does Patton's summer look like?

"I'm going to Tennessee this weekend for camp. Next weekend, we're going to Illinois as a team. After Illinois, I'm going to Michigan for a couple of days and then we're going to Notre Dame for a few days. I also plan on camping at Purdue this summer." Patton said.

Did Chase get invited to the "Elite 11" quarterback camp?

"I was contacted and told that six of the guys had already been chosen and that the guys from the Nike Camp wanted me to come to Las Vegas so they could get another look at me. I don't know if I'm going to be able to make it to Vegas or not." Patton said.
