"I have scholarship offers from Wyoming and Cincinnati," said linebacker, tight end, Phil Babich.
"My favorites are Northwestern, Illinois, Western Michigan, Indiana, Northern Illinois, Cincinnati and Wyoming.
"I'd like to get it done (commitment) as soon as possible but it would have to be the right situation."
Babich, a 6-foot-4, 220-pounder, from Palos Heights (Ill.) Shepard, will be a four-year varsity starter in 2003.
As a sophomore, Babich was named all-conference as a tight end and last year he was named 2nd team all-area, 1st team all-conference and academic all-state as a tight end and as a linebacker.
Babich camped at Illinois this summer. A hard-nosed football player, Phil Babich has drawn praise from every coach in the SICA conference that we have spoken with.
