Seniors Jabari Parker (Duke), Kendrick Nunn (Illinois), Jaylon Tate (Illinois), and Kendall Pollard (Dayton), as well as uncommitted senior Russell Woods are arguably one of the best starting-fives in the country, and they're looking to avenge their CPS loss as they head into the playoffs.
Parker has worked hard this season to return from a tough injury that kept him sidelined for several months, but now he's back in game form and is having the impact everyone expected out of the future blue devil.
Parker's not the only significantly-improved player for Simeon. Senior point guard Jaylon Tate's playing time last year was limited, but this year he's been the full-time point guard and has been a key cog in the Simeon machine.
Throw in the high-flying Kendrick Nunn as well as high-motored Kendall Pollard, and Simeon is a formidable team for anyone to play.
Simply put, Marist is outmatched in this one, but if there's a guy to keep an eye on, it's senior guard Lexus Williams. Williams will have a tough time dealing with the relentless Simeon pressure, but if he can find some openings in the defense, he may be able to do some damage against the Wolverines.
Still, I think Simeon will roll in this one and go out in style in their regular season finale.
