Senior Night for Simeon

It took until the middle of the 4th quarter for either team to make a substitution, but Simeon's senior-laden starting 5 carried the Wolverines to a sectional championship

If there was one game that could top the first matchup between Simeon and Whitney Young this year, it was the rematch in the Argo Sectional Championship.

Throughout the first half, the two teams punched, counterpunched, and the lead changed hands numerous times. But as the game wore on, Simeon pulled ahead behind the experience of their starting five, comprised entirely of seniors.

The group, made up of center Russell Woods, Dayton bound forward Kendall Pollard, Illinois bound guards Kendrick Nunn and Jaylon Tate, and Duke signee Jabari Parker.

It was entire team effort, but those five guys shined when their team needed them the most, especially Parker, who poured in 29 points to lead all scorers.

We'll have more from Simeon head coach Rob Smith regarding this special group of seniors soon, but in the meantime, check out film from the season's biggest showdown.
