Illini Get a Little Louisville Magic

Less than 2 months after point guard Quentin Snider decommitted from Louisville, the Louisville native has decided to play his college ball at Illinois.

Quentin Snider wasn't even in the picture for Illinois just a couple of months ago, but things fell into place and now Snider is pledge number 3 for Illinois in 2014.

The 6'1" 160 pound point guard from Louisville's Ballard High School was a long-time Louisville commit, but opened things back up at the end of July. After official visits to both UCLA and Illinois, Snider picked the Illini and Head Coach John Groce.

Things in the recruitment moved quickly. Groce was urged by offseason trasnfer Aaron Cosby, also a Louisville native, to reach out to Snider, and, well, the rest is history.

Snider joins Champaign's Michael Finke and Memphis forward Leron Black in the Illinois 2014 class.
