The last couple years have brought a significant amount of change in Nile Sykes' football career. Not only a move from Oak Par-River Forest, but a move from defensive end to linebacker have challenged Sykes to adjust, and he's done just that.
After sitting out last year following a transfer to Montini from Oak Park-River Forest, Nile Sykes
is still adjusting to the transition from defensive end to linebacker. But after just a few games, Sykes seems to be taking well to linebacker.
In just a quarter and a half, Sykes recorded four tackles, including a sack and two more TFL against Wheaton Academy.
Illinois linebackers coach Mike Ward was in to see Sykes today, and several other Illinois coaches were out on the town to see prospects in the Chicago area before Saturday's game against Washington at Soldier Field.
