The Phog Has Lifted

The wait is over and Cliff Alexander made his decision public on Friday afternoon, choosing the Kansas Jayhawks.

All the suspense was ended on Friday afternoon at Curie High School as big man Cliff Alexander announced that he will be playing his college basketball at Kansas.

Alexander chose the Jayhawks over finalists Illinois, DePaul, and Memphis as well as a slew of offers from coast to coast. He joins current Kansas commit and fellow 5-star Kelly Oubre in the class.

After last year when Kansas landed the nation's number one player in Andrew Wiggins, recruiting stayed hot as they landed two five-star recruits in 2014.

Alexander's lead recruiter was former Illinois assistant coach Jerrance Howard, who also recruited Alexander when he was in Champaign. Alexander joins his girlfriend, who is also a former Curie Condor playing at Kansas.

We will have more from Alexander regarding his decision shortly.
