Get to know Illinois early-enrollee Quarterback Chayce Crouch

Hometown: Newark, OH

High School: Newark Catholic HS

Currently Listening To: Drake

If he could meet anyone famous, he would meet: Either Michael Jordan or Muhammad Ali

He decided to enroll early for: the opportunity to compete earlier. It would have been very hard for me to sit at home from now to June without being here competing with my teammates. I was very anxious and excited to see what it would be like a student and athlete at this level, so I decided to enroll early.

What he is looking forward to the most about spring football: Honestly I'm just looking forward to getting better. There's improvement to be made in all aspects of my game. But I'm especially looking forward to learning how to handle coaching at this level.

Biggest Adjustment from high school to college will be: The amount of people and how big campus is. I come from Newark Catholic, which is such a small community, but I'm adjusting well. Football-wise, the biggest difference and adjustment has to be the speed of the game. Being quarterback, decisions must be made quicker and there's little room for mistakes.
