Nunn Named B1G Ten Freshman of the Week

The accolades are coming in for freshman Kendrick Nunn.

Kendrick Nunn was inserted in the starting line-up in early February and has gained momentum in the near-three weeks since.

He's averaged 13 points in his four games as a starter, including 19 in last week's win at Minnesota.

His five three-pointers proved decisive and helped him earn Big Ten Freshman of the Week, announced on Monday.

The 6-foot-3 guard from Chicago has logged 30 or more minutes the last four games, emerging as a go-to scorer after serving in a sixth-man role for much of the season. Not particularly known as a long range shooter, Nunn has connected on 11 of his last 22 tries from the 3-point line.
