I think Illinois could be a good candidate to take the over. The Illini have a manageable out-of-conference schedule with should-be-wins against Youngstown State, Western Kentucky and Texas State. Big Ten home games against Purdue, Penn State, Minnesota and Iowa gives Illinois a real shot to reach a bowl game, with a road trip to Northwestern in the season finale winnable as well.
As for the rest of the Big Ten and how I would pick it:
Indiana 5.5 - Under (But really, who wanted to travel in December anyway?)
Iowa 8.5 - Over (The West Division isn't going to scare anybody)
Maryland 5.5 - Under (I'll give you five… Definitely not six)
Michigan 8.5 - Over (October home date with Penn State could prove pivotal).
Michigan State 8.5 - Over (But really, who scheduled the trip to Oregon?)
Minnesota 6 - Over (Last October visit to Illinois could be the decider)
Nebraska 8 - Push (Don't see nine, can't call seven)
Northwestern 7.5 - Under (at Iowa, Michigan and at Notre Dame to start November…)
Ohio State 10.5 - Over (Urban Meyer still hasn't lost in the regular season at Ohio State)
Penn State 7 - Over (Temple in November for the overall win… Nice)
Purdue 2.5 - Over (Western Michigan, Central Michigan and Southern Illinois… Am I right?)
Rutgers 4.5 - Under (The East Division is brutal).
Wisconsin 10 - Over (have you seen this ridiculously easy schedule after opening with LSU!?)
