Will Green be Orange & Blue or Red & Black?

The Illinois recruiting class for 2015 is very heavy on the offensive side of the ball. The focus will likely shift to defense this fall as defensive prospects begin to commit. Read on to get the latest with one of the top defensive prospects.

Chris Green, linebacker from Toledo's Central Catholic High School, has taken all of the visits he intends to take and will now begin the process of making his college decision.

Green visited Illinois overnight Monday night and has also seen Cincinnati in recent weeks. His trip to Illinois was a positive experience.

"It was great," Green said. "I had a real good time."

Green, who originally planned to see Illinois a couple months ago, finally made it to Champaign for the first time and got to see the campus in-person.

"I saw the campus, a film session, got to talk to some of the players, see the football locker room," he said. "Just about everything."

Green who originally had a top three of Illinois, Cincinnati, and Indiana has since dropped Indiana from consideration saying, "I really don't get too much contact from them."

Green indicated that he doesn't plan on taking too much longer to make a decision and that a pick will likely come before the high school season begins.

As for who will be helping him make the decision, Green said he will involve his "head coach and parents."
