Justice Is Served

After hosting Frisco (TX) linebacker Justice Williams on a visit this past weekend, Illinois has added the athletic LB to an offense-heavy recruiting class.

Illinois has been making a lot more noise in Texas lately in both the football and basketball recruiting scenes. While the Illini are still working hard on a pair of Texans on the hoops side, they were able to break through with an athletic linebacker from Frisco (TX) Wakeland in Justice Williams.

Williams, who was one of four prospects who visited Illinois this past weekend officially, gave his commitment to the Illini on Wednesday evening over offers from Indiana, Kansas, Mississippi State, Virginia, and several other programs.

Scout's Greg Powers had the following to say about Williams as a prospect:

Williams is a very good athlete and runs well. He plays both ways on offense and defense. Athletic enough to be his teams leading receiver and big playmaker. It is no surprise to see that he is very good in pass coverage and has good open field running ability. For a player who is still picking up some nuances of defense he uses his hands well and is able to play off of blocks to make tackles.

Williams is the 14th commitment in the 2015 recruiting class for Illinois, but only the second on the defensive side of the ball, joining Chicago (IL) Hales Franciscan LB Pat Nelson.
