Parchman, a 6'1 190 lb. athlete, plays both ways for the Knights, who stand at 5-3 on the season. Parchman recently visited Illinois along with a couple teammates, but received the offer from the Illini not too long ago as well.
Parchman has been to the Illinois campus a couple times and had positive reviews about what he saw when he was there, according to what he told Scout's Allen Trieu previously.
"It's a great feeling to be in my position to be getting a full-ride at this early age," the junior receiver and defensive back said. "I never dreamed of getting it this early but I've always wanted one, so it's something new for me."
"The coaches are really organized and their campus is unbelievable. I've never seen anything like it. The weight room and the amount of study halls and different buildings for each subject, it was really nice," he said.
Parchman gives Illinois their first commitment in 2016 and will likely end up on the offensive side of the ball, but his sub 4.4 40-yard dash and plus agility make him an option on either side of the ball.
Parchman's sophomore teammate Vederian Lowe, a 6'5" 330 pound offensive tackle, also holds an offer from Illinois.
