Much of the focus has been on point guards for the Illini in the 2016 class, but they also have a lot of opportunity to offer in the frontcourt as well.
Illinois extended an offer to four-star power forward Clevon Brown in late July, and they were included on his list of 10 schools last month. On Thursday night, Illini head coach John Groce and assistant Dustin Ford will be in Texas to have an in-home visit with Brown - per a source.
Brown will take an official visit to Vanderbilt this weekend, and he is scheduled for an official visit to Texas later this month. The Illini hope to be major players as well and get Brown on campus for an official.
