One of the top uncommitted running backs in the midwest in 2016 is Rockford (IL) Lutheran's James Robinson. The state's career rushing yardage record holder is closing in on 9,000 yards during his high school career, and his team is still alive in the state playoffs.
Robinson was limited in his team's second-round victory over Richmond-Burton Friday night due to a foot injury he's been dealing with, but still scored his team's first points and set the tone for a decisive 31-7 victory.
Robinson is a powerful yet quick runner who averaged 21 yards per carry this season and is a threat to take it the distance any time he touches the ball.
Robinson has been fairly quiet about recruiting, but in the exclusive interview above, Robinson opens up a bit about recruiting and his progress this year.
He currently holds an offer from Iowa, and is receiving interest from a few other Big Ten programs like Purdue. He has camped at Wisconsin and is hearing from Notre Dame.
