Hill named B1G Co-Player of Week

Illini junior scored a career high 34 points in win over South Dakota

Illinois junior wing Malcolm Hill was named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week after totaling a career-high 34 points in Saturday's 91-79 win over South Dakota. Hill also tied a career high with 11 rebounds and added five assists, three blocks and two steals.

Hill, who shared the honors with Michigan's Caris LeVert, was very efficient, scoring his 34 points on 16 shot attempts. He went 10-for-11 from the free throw line.

Hill currently ranks tied for second in the Big Ten in points per game (18.5) with Michigan State's Denzel Valentine, just 0.2 ppg behind Iowa's Jared Uthoff. Hill leads active Illini players in points, rebounds, assists, blocks and steals.
