Signing Day Spotlight: Doug Kramer

The letter is in for Hinsdale (IL) Central OL Doug Kramer. Here's a closer look at the new Illini signee.

Commitment Date: 1/15/2016

Twitter Handle: @thereal_dkramer

Why Illinois?

"Illinois appealed to me because im a lifelong illinois fan as well as growing up in the state so thats always been where i wanted to play. I feel it's a great fit for me because its a great school and to be honest I love everything about it. Also it's our state school so i feel like this is the place the be. Coach Cubit has an awesome staff and all the commits as well as current players are all hungry. What I'm looking forward to most is joining a new family and putting in the work to win Big Ten titles."

Kramer played along-side Michigan State pledge Matt Allen, but wasn't always outshined by the future Spartan.  Kramer shows solid interior technique and opened up running lanes for productive running back Christian Bobak all year.

Kramer will need to physically mature and add strength, but he already has a lot of the good technique without bad habits that should help him progress well once he does get to college.
