Champaign Central rising junior guard Tim Finke rose three spots in Scout's latest Class of 2018 rankings to No. 22 overall. Finke ranked No. 25 in September's initial list of 2018's top-25 prospects.
Finke, the youngest brother of rising Illini sophomore forward Michael Finke, averaged 20.5 points and 7.1 rebounds per game as a sophomore. He transferred from Champaign Centennial to Central to play for his father, Jeff Finke, a former Illini basketball and foottball player. He is playing with the St. Louis Eagles on the AAU circuit.
Illinois was the first power-five conference team to extend a scholarship offer to Tim Finke, but Ohio State also offered recently.
No other in-state prospect cracked the top-40.
