You can go ahead and schedule your Saturdays for half of Illinois football's 2016 schedule.

A few days after Big Ten Network announced a 6:30 p.m. CT kickoff for the Illini's Week 2 home game against North Carolina, the Illini announced five game times including an 11 a.m. CT homecoming kickoff against Minnesota on Oct. 29.

The game times of four Big Ten road games were announced as well. Three are 2:30 p.m. CT kickoffs: at Nebraska (Oct. 1), at Michigan (Oct. 22), and at Wisconsin (Nov. 12). The Illini game at Rutgers (Oct. 15) will kick off at 11 a.m. CT.

According to a press release, Illinois expects to announce in the coming weeks game times for its home games against Murray State (Sept. 3 opener) and Western Michigan (Sept. 17). The remaining four games will be determined by the television networks on the customary 6- or 12-day advance notice.
