Tony Adams planning visits to Illini, Mizzou

Adams big month will continue with visits to Illinois, Mizzou

UPDATE (6/21 11:46 p.m.): Tony Adams plans to visit Illinois on Wednesday, he told Adams said he hasn't yet set a date for a Mizzou visit.

June already has been a whirlwind month for Tony Adams

The St. Louis University High School athlete received his first scholarship offer last week from Illinois following a strong performance at the Illini camp in St. Louis. Days later, he received an offer from homestate Missouri after a similarly strong performance at a Tigers camp.

Now, Adams' month will be taken up another notch,

Adams told that he plans visits next week to Missouri and Illinois, though he hasn't set specific dates yet. "Not a specific date, but next week for sure," said Adams, who worked out at running back, wide receiver and defensive back at the Illinois camp.

Adams said last week that his scholarship from Illinois was a "big step" in his recruitment.

"I grew up watching the Illini play, so to get this meant a lot," Adams said last week. "It feels real good that all the hard work is finally paying off."

It seems the neighboring state schools will fight it out for Braggin' Rights in the Adams recruitment. But Adams said he hasn't decided on when he'll make a decision.

"It possibly can go either way (during the summer or later)," Adams said. "(I'll make a decision) when I visit some schools, and I feel it's for me. I believe I'll make the right decision."
