Illinois basketball has two or three scholarship spots left in the Class of 2017, and the staff certainly has a lot of irons in the fire.
Recently, Illinois has made the cut for many of their top targets: Belleville Althoff guard Jordan Goodwin's top-seven, Florida point guard Trent Frazier's top-eight, Lincolnshire (Ill.) Stevenson wing Justin Smith's top-seven, Florida post Victor Uyaelunmo's top-seven, Indianapolis guard Paul Scruggs' top-five, Indianapolis wing Kris Wilkes' top-11 and Minnesota post Theo John's top-six.
And another one.
Milwaukee four-star wing Terrence Lewis trimmed his list to four on Tuesday: Illinois, Marquette, UNLV and Iowa State.

Lewis averaged 21.9 points and 10 rebounds per game during the regular season. The 6-foot-6 swingman is long, athletic and he has a silky smooth stroke.
