Two Illini PG targets in 2018 Top-20

Courtney Ramey and Ayo Dosunmu both sit in the top 20 in the latest 2018 rankings. has updated their 2018 hoops rankings, and that has two prime Illini point guard targets in the top 20.

Webster Groves (Mo.) lead guard Courtney Ramey made an enormous jump from the top 60 into the No. 19 spot in the class. Ramey had a huge summer on the AAU circuit, as he showed scouts that he can score at a high level along with his fantastic distributing skills. He is now a five-star.

Ramey surpassed Morgan Park star Ayo Dosunmu, who is a flat out bucket-getter at the lead guard spot. Dosunmu dropped back only one spot to No. 20, and he keeps his five-star designation. He also remains as the top 2018 prospect in the state of Illinois. Both players are huge priorities for John Groce and the Illini in the 2018 class, and they're both 6-foot-3 point guards. Ramey just visited Champaign last weekend, and Dosunmu will visit this weekend.

Meanwhile, Champaign product Tim Finke checks in at No. 96 in the rankings. He was No. 51 in the previous update.

Lead basketball reporter Derek Piper gives a premium breakdown on the rankings HERE, including why Finke dropped and thoughts on the Dosunmu-Ramey battle.
