Juawan Treadwell has been silent on his recruitment for some time now, but he shared some details with Illini Inquirer recently after his team took on Chicago's Brother Rice on Friday.
However, Treadwell's silence could be indicative of how much of a priority his recruitment has been the last few months.
"I really just want to keep my team up right now and do good things," Treadwell said. "I've been hearing from Minnesota. I also just got an offer from Wyoming not long ago."
Though the process has been slow for him for a while now, he did indicate that he plans to begin addressing recruiting soon, including some visits.
"I'm just waiting on recruiting to come to me right now," Treadwell said. "I'm going to take visits, though. I want to do those real soon since college games started."
One of Treadwell's first offers came from the in-state Illini. Treadwell says that he has stayed in contact with the whole staff for the most part.
"They're nice coaches. I communicate a lot with them," Treadwell said. "I talk to most of them and not any in specific."
Treadwell did say that he intends to visit Illinois, and even had a specific game in mind.
"I'm planning on taking a visit down there," Treadwell said. "I'm trying to get down for the homecoming game against Minnesota."
A decision doesn't sound like it will come any time soon for the senior DB, as he has quite a bit of the recruiting process left to go. He says that a decision is likely to come after his high school season concludes.
"I'll probably decide after the high school season. I'm still working through the process right now. I just want a school with good DBs with a good coaching staff."
