Recruit Recap: Ra'Von Bonner dominates

Illini commits Ra'Von Bonner, Ricky Smalling and Kendall Smith shine during Week 7 games

- Illini running back commit Ra'Von Bonner ran for 230 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries to lead Cincinnati (Ohio) Sycamore to a 28-0 win over Lakota East. Bonner has surpassed 1,000 rushing yards for the third straight season. On the season, Bonner has 1,100 yards and 19 touchdowns on 155 carries (7.1 ypc).

- Receiver commit Ricky Smalling scored three touchdowns to lead Brother Rice (7-0) to a 63-7 rout of Westchester St. Joseph's. Smalling's highlight play was a 55-yard screen catch and run where he made five defenders miss.

- Athlete commit Kendall Smith returned a punt for a touchdown and ran for two more touchdowns but Bolingbrook (3-4) lost to Lincoln-Way Central (5-2) by a score of 42-28.

- Defensive line commit Olalere Oladipo and Huntley (4-3) defeated Crystal Lake Central 42-21. Oladipo had a quarterback pressure that led to an interception.

- Quarterback commit Cam Thomas and Marian Catholic (1-6) lost to Niles Notre Dame (5-2) by a score of 26-6.

- Linebacker commit Marc Mondesir and the St. Rita (4-3) defense shut out Bishop McNamara 27-0.

- Offensive line commit Vederian Lowe and Rockford Auburn (6-1) dominated Harlem 49-8. Illini Inquirer's Ryan Easterling was at the game. Check out his interview with Lowe below.

- Receiver commit Carmoni Green and Miami Central play at Jackson on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT.

- Offensive line commit Larry Boyd and Trinity Catholic play John Burroughs on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT.

- Running back commit Mike Epstein and St. Thomas Aquinas's Friday game against Deerfield Beach was canceled due to Hurricane Matthew. They play at Fort Lauderdale next Friday.

- Defensive back commit Antwan Collier and Miami Southridge's game against Killian was postponed until Monday due to Hurricane Matthew.
