Another big weekend for Illini commits Ra'Von Bonner and Ricky Smalling

- Illini running back commit Ra'Von Bonner ran for 200-plus yards for the third straight game, finishing with 208 yards and four touchdowns on 20 carries to lead Cincinnati Sycamore to a 42-22 win over Oak Hills. Over his last three games, Bonner has 660 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. He recently received a third star on his Scout recruiting ranking.

- Illini receiver commit Ricky Smalling caught 12 passes for 119 yards in Brother Rice's 48-37 loss to Loyola (9-0). It was the Crusaders (8-1) first loss of the season.

- Illini running back commit Mike Epstein scored three touchdowns to lead St. Thomas Aquinas to a 42-7 win over Boyd Anderson. Epstein scored on a 3-yard run, a 35-yard screen pass and a 15-yard run.

- Illini cornerback commit Antwan Collier and Miami Southridge defeated Miami Palmetto 20-0 to clinch their first district title since 2011. University of Miami assistants Ron Dugans and Manny Diaz attended the game. The Hurricanes are making a push for Collier.

- Illini linebacker commits Marc Mondesir and St. Rita defeated Marmion 25-23 on a last-second field goal to clinch playoff eligibility.

- Illini defensive end Olalere Oladipo and Huntley (6-3) defeated McHenry 44-14 to clinch a playoff berth.

- Illini athlete commit Kendall Smith and Bolingbrook lost to undefeated Homewood-Flossmoor 28-10, ending the season for the Raiders (4-5) and snapping their 24-year playoff streak.

- Illini quarterback commit Cam Thomas and Marian Catholic's season ended with a 49-6 loss to Nazareth Academy. The Spartans finished the season with a 1-8 record.

- Illini offensive line commit Vederian Lowe and Rockford Auburn (8-1) defeated Freeport 26-21 to earn a share of the NIC-10 title with Boylan.

- Miami Northwestern'a 26-7 win over Norland ended Miami Central's four-year reign as Class 6A champion, ending Illini receiver commit Carmoni Green's season.
