The wait continues, as five-star Illini commit Jeremiah Tilmon remains without his name on the dotted line during the early signing period.
Tilmon has until Wednesday to ink his letter of intent this fall. If he doesn't, he won't be able to do so until April.
Buzz has swirled all across Illini nation this week. Why hasn't he signed? Is he still committed to Illinois? Jeremiah's mom, April, released a statement to IlliniInquirer.com on Saturday.
"Just because Jeremiah hasn't signed in the early period doesn't mean he's not committed to Illinois," she said. "Jeremiah has a lot of things going on behind the scenes that take precedence over signing and we do apologize for the commotion."
Tilmon's mom also told IlliniInquirer.com that Illini head coach John Groce and assistant coach Jamall Walker visited the family in East St. Louis early on Saturday.
