One-on-One with SF Jerome Hunter

Jerome Hunter, who was recently offered by Illinois, gives the latest at the recent Spiece Run-N-Slam event in Ft. Wayne, IN. See what he had to say and get a quick rundown of the talented prospect's game.

At 6’7” Jerome Hunter is an intriguing prospect out of Pickerington North High School in Ohio.  He has been one of the hottest names in Midwest recruiting circles over the last few weeks.  We saw first-hand in Ft. Wayne at Run N Slam why that was the case.

The forward has both size and versatility, playing both the three and four spots for OH Nova.  His jump shot really stands out as he shot it well from all three levels.  Hunter was particularly effective from three off of the catch.  When he gets his feet set and is in rhythm, he can be a problem from deep.  He can also pull up from mid-range by creating separation from his defender.

Hunter showed his handles best in transition, including one play where he grabbed a defensive rebound and took it coast to coast.  As a wing passer, Hunter is underrated.  In the game which we saw, Hunter dropped an impressive 25 points.  He's a no-doubt high-major prospect who will be highly sought-after.
