Illinois has made the final four -- for grad transfer Mark Alstork.
The Wright State guard trimmed his list to four on Thursday: Illinois, Pittsburgh, LSU and South Carolina.
The 6-foot-5 guard took visits to all four school, as well as Louisville and Georgetown. But the Cardinals and Hoyas did make his final list.
Alstork, who will be immediately eligible for his final season of college basketball, averaged 19.0 points per game last season as a junior at Wright State. He shot 38.7 percent from three on the season.
Illinois currently has just nine players on scholarship for the 2017-18 season, and while it added top-100 guard Mark Smith, first-year Illini coach Brad Underwood still has a need for more scoring.
The Illini's three top scorers from last season -- Malcolm Hill (17.2 points), Maverick Morgan (9.9) and Tracy Abrams (8.6 points) -- graduated.
