For some reason, most people feel that Livingston is Duke's to lose. Don't believe that for one second. Illinois may have the upper hand in this process. The Livingston family has been very professional about this entire process. They have a plan and they're sticking to it. At this point they will take all their visits because the family knows that Illinois, Duke and Arizona will hold a scholarship for him.
Sources close to the family believe Illinois is in great shape with him for the following reasons: Illinois has been recruiting him since his 8th grade year, he's been an Illini fan all of his life, his closest friends are current Illini basketball players Brian Randle and Richard McBride.
Until all the hoopla started this summer, Livingston played with the Illini players frequently and developed great relationships with many of them.
Current men's basketball coach Wayne McClain has been very instrumental to former coach Bill Self and current coach Bruce Weber. McClain is a legend in Peoria and knows the importance of landing the All-American guard. That is why he's been assigned to him from day one.
If you think it's a fluke that Illinois has the last official visit with Livingston – you're wrong. On October 25th Weber and his staff will get the last chance to show him what his "favorite" school has to offer.
