RB Dion Foster (5-8, 190, 4.4) of Oak Lawn Richards (IL) finished his JR year with 1558 yds on 183 carries for 19 TDs. "I look for the holes and I see the field well. I have good vision and I'm a power runner," said Foster. "I want to improve my footwork and have better cuts and jukes and I want to gain some weight."
He already has offers from Wisconsin, Illinois and Purdue and favors the Badgers and Illini solid over Iowa, Tennessee and Michigan.
"Illinios was my first offer last month. My parents want me to stay close and I'd like to stay within eight hours driving. Illinois is only about two and a half hours away. I really like their offense because they run the ball a lot."
Dion attended JR Days at both Illinois and Wisconsin and he'll be at the Badgers spring game on Apr 10. "My ex-teammate (QB)Sean Lewis goes there and he's given me a lot of advice. He told me not to get tied up in everything and not to let recruiting affect my schoolwork.
"I like the offense at Wisconsin too and I think the coaches are great. They are great guys and know what they are doing."
Another former teammate of Dion's is OL Mike Jones, who plays for Iowa. "He loves it. He said that most people think it's just corn fields, but that's not how it is. He says the coaches are the best and that they are real honest."
Dion says he always followed Ohio St, but the Buckeyes aren't recruiting him. "My role model is RB Joe Montgomery. He went to my grammar school and my high school and then went on to Ohio St."
