Speed is the name of the game in college football these days, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Although, you still won't find many defensive coordinators that look for that bruising physical speciman to plug up the middle. That is exactly what you get with O'Fallon's Dan Moore, who is still awaiting his first offer.

"Every coach that watched film first questioned his speed and initial burst," said head coach Todd Moeller. "He isn't real flashy on film, but every coach changed their demeanor after standing next to him. He weighed in at 250 this winter and you couldn't even tell. He is a rock solid kid."

Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Kansas State, UCLA, Wisconsin, and Indiana all made their way by O'Fallon Township High School in the month of May. Dan also attended camps at both Illinois and Missouri.

"I know Illinois is real interested after seeing him in camp. He measured in at 6'2 and 238 pounds. A lot of schools are saying they want to see his first couple games this fall, and they also seem intrigued with the possibility of moving him down to the defensive line. Regardless of what position he plays, he is a football player."
